Being a woman doesn’t make me a different kind of Christian, but being a Christian makes me a different kind of woman.” ~ Elisabeth Elliot

Don't Be Too Critical Of Your Ability

I have not been sharing with you on here in a LONG time and I am sorry about that. I just didn't take the time to do it is the only excuse I have. Pretty lame, but true. But I have found something worthy of my readers that I need to share. I just read an article on a website I have never visited before and I really liked what the author had to say so I wanted to share it with all of you. The website is The Sewing Rabbit, and the article was written by Jess Abbott who is the Sewing Rabbit. The title of the article is How To Be Insanely Happy With Your DIY, Without Changing A Thing. I hope you take the time to read it because I feel it could help you if you struggle with doubts about not only your DIY ability, but also other areas of your life where you just don't think you are good enough. Don't ever think that about yourself. I have before and it does no good. Just be happy with whatever ability you have been blessed with and PLEASE don't compare yourself with ANYONE else's. That will just bring you down where you don't want or need to be.
Have a Blessed day!

New Items Added.

Hello Friends, I just added two new items to my Etsy shop and wanted to let you know. I love Pinterest because I get so many ideas from there. This first picture is one of those ideas.
When I first saw this idea I thought how cute it was and what a great use for old ties that you can buy for a dollar at the thrift store. Then I started seeing different ways to embellish them in my mind, so of course I had to try it. This one is just for display purposes on my shop because I thought how fun it would be to turn an old tie that came from someone's grandfather, dad, uncle or brother into a great usuable item. So I am making it a custom order. I wasn't able to get a picture of my newest apron to download here but you can just click HERE to see it in my shop. It's a beautiful blue plaid apron with lace and buttons. Well I hope you check out my new items in my shop and have a blessed day.

Art Journaling Course (FREE)

Hello there friends, Sorry that I haven't posted in about 4 months time. I have let other things in my life get in the way. But today I have something fun to share with all of you. It is a FREE Art Journaling course that I myself am taking. It is a lot of fun and did I mention FREE? Tiare Smith of Tiare Smith Designs is the lovely lady who is the instructor of the course. She makes it easy to be creative. She gives you step by step ways to bring your creativity out and she also includes lists for supplies that you need and some that are helpful but not needed. And what I like about her instructions is that she shows that you can use everyday items for some of the things you need, which means it won't cost a lot to get started. Yay! So go on over to Tiare's site and sign up to start getting your creative juices flowing onto your very own Art Journal. It is so much fun to create an art journal. You can put anything in it that you desire. Have fun with it and if you would like to share any of your work here or with Tiare, that would be wonderful.
Thanks and have a very blessed day!

Shoshanna's Kitchen - Episode 83 - Earth Paint

Just watched this video and I knew that I had to share this with everyone. Shoshanna  from the Bulk Herb Store has made a video showing you how easy it is to make paints for the kids out of herbs. So many colors to make too. Red, yellow, green, black, and more. All made from food so you know they are safe and non-toxic. And it is something the kids can help you with.

Enjoy.

Shoshanna's Kitchen - Episode 38 - Herbal Lip Balm

I just watched this video and couldn't wait to share it with you all. Again Shoshanna shows us how to make something that we use a lot look very easy and much better for us than the store bought version. And even though she uses tins that you can buy, she tells you that you don't have to buy anything special to put the finished product in. You can use containers that you might have around the house.

So watch and enjoy.

I shared this on Titus 2sDay Link Party.
